Ingredients
Rice Ada -1/2 cup
Milk -3 cups
Sugar -1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Butter-1/2 tsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
Cashew nuts – Accordingly
Raisins - Accordingly
Coconut (chopped to small pieces) – ¼ of a half piece
Preparation
Soak ada in boiling water for 30 minutes and wash it in cold water and keep aside. Boil the milk. Once it is nicely boiled add the washed ada to it.
Stir in low flame.
Add sugar and cook for some more time.
The payasam changes to pale cream color. Mix cardamom powder and switch off the flame.
Heat a spoon of ghee, roast the coconut pieces and add to the payasam. Also fry cashew nuts and raisins separately in ghee and add to the payasam.
After 10-15 mins, add 1/2 tsp of butter and stir.
Delicious Paalada Pradhaman is ready.
