How to make Bread Fritters
Bread fritters is a popular snack made by dipping the bread pieces in gram flour batter. This is another variety which is different than the usual one. Serve it as a snack in the evenings.
Ingredients:
6 slices bread
1 cup gram flour
1 onion finely chopped
1 teaspoon chilly powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon coriander finely cut
a pinch of soda- bi- carbonate
salt to taste
water for dough
oil for frying
Method:
Cut each slice of bread into four quarters.
Take a bowl and put gram flour. Add onion, chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin to it. Add water and make a batter of thick consistency. Put salt and chopped coriander leaves. Finally put soda bi carbonate and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan. Dip the bread in the batter and put it in the oil. Add four at a time.
Deep fry on medium flame for three minutes.
Remove on an absorbent paper.
Repeat for the rest of the slices.
Tasty bread fritters are ready to serve.
