Both have :
- 6 center pieces
- Same number of corners
- Same number of faces
The difference is just in the shape and colours of individual blocks.
If you know how to solve a 3x3 rubik's cube, and you have practiced enough, and remember all the algorithms, it is the right time to pick up the mirror cube .
In a standard cube, you search for different colours to match them in there specific places. Whereas, in a mirror cube you have to search for different shapes.
{ In a mirror cube, when I am starting with the first cross on the first layer (beginner's method). Then, I always search for the biggest center piece (The piece that is sticking out of the cube the most) .
It is just a personal preference, you can start with any side. But when you start with the biggest side, the last layer become relatively easy because only small pieces are left. }
In the beginning, searching for the shapes by just looking at them is a little tricky task. What I did was : I just placed the shapes in particular position and checked whether the piece belongs to that position or not.
