The company, this time will ditch its traditional QWERTY keypad and instead have a full touch screen in the phone to function. Blackberry's previously launched phones DTEK50 and 60 were also touch-screen phones but there are some more upgrades by hinted by Mahieu to Engadget that make the upcoming BlackBerry phone different form the lot. To start with, the phone will come with IP67 rating making the phone dust and water resistance. Next is the battery that could be power the phone for nearly 26 hours with "mixed use." If this is believed then the phone could run for nearly 2 days on a single charge if used for basic purpose.
In a nutshell, TCL, the company that designs and builds BlackBerry phones, is planning to launch a BlackBerry phone that could be used in all weather conditions, will have a good life and durability and sport a full touch-screen display. Mahieu also said that TCL hopes that many iPhone and Galaxy users will switch to the new BlackBerry phone once it is launched. Further, the company has not given any detail on the phone or its pricing.
