The 'IMI' Electric Violin Instrument Has No Strings and a Refreshing Design
The 'IMI' Electric Violin Instrument changes perceptions of what the classic instrument looks like and how it operates in order to make it more applicable in the digital age. Doing away with strings and the bow, the 'IMI' features a touch-sensitive fret board that is actually capable of creating notes that are in response to how you interact with the board itself. This means players can perform vibratos and other techniques, which makes the instrument far different from other MIDI devices on the market.
The 'IMI' Electric Violin Instrument is the design work of Viraj Joshi as a student project with aspirations of expanding the range in the works to cover instruments including the guitar, the flute and even the ukulele.
