The Zander K Hotel in Bergen, Norway Embraces the Region's Rainy Weather

The Zander K Hotel in Bergen, Norway was designed by Stockholm-based studio 'Claesson Koivisto Rune.'
The city of Bergen is famous for its yearly rainfall and Claesson Koivisto Rune has decided to embrace the rainy weather and decorate the space accordingly. On first glance, guests will notice the rich blue decor and ample rain-referencing symbols that accent the space. This was done intentionally with the help of Swedish illustrator Jesper Waldersten.
Water-themed postcards are given out and semi-transparent curtains covered in a raindrop pattern hang from the windows as further hints to the design scheme. Locally sourced wood, concrete and polished marble give the space weight and act as a reference to the natural environment.
The exterior of the Zander K Hotel has been painted blue to tie the whole scheme together and give the facade a bold impact.
