The Segway Robot is One Part Robot, One Part Scooter at CES 2016
With mobility and robotics becoming evermore intertwined, the new Segway Robot is unveiled at CES 2016 as an innovative approach to offering digital assistance with a scooter twist. Able of being ridden like the two-wheel hoverboards seen around city streets and on the web as of recently, the Segway Robot is able to operate at a speed of 11mph for up to 18-miles.
When not being ridden, the Segway Robot can operate as something of a personal digital assistant. The robot can be activated with voice commands and features an onboard camera for snapping pictures of the master.
The brand hopes to start shipping the Segway Robot to developers within the third quarter of 2016, which could see a widespread consumer market release in 2017, depending.
